3. Cookies, Analytics, and Embedded Services
Our website and its service providers use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies. These technologies may support essential site functions, remember settings, measure traffic and performance, help prevent fraud or spam, and support embedded features.
The site may use or embed services supplied by our website host, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google reCAPTCHA, Google Maps, Tekmetric, review or social-media widgets, accessibility or search tools, and similar providers. When these features load or you interact with them, the provider may collect device, usage, cookie, and interaction information under its own privacy policy.
You can limit cookies through your browser settings and, where available, our cookie controls. Blocking cookies may affect site functionality. Browser-based "Do Not Track" signals are not interpreted consistently across the industry, and our site may not respond to them. Where applicable law requires us to recognize a browser-based opt-out signal, we will do so.
4. How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose personal information to:
- service providers that host our website; manage appointments, shop operations, digital inspections, messaging, email, payments, analytics, security, customer support, or data storage; or otherwise perform services for us;
- payment and financing providers when you choose to pay electronically or request financing;
- transportation providers when you ask us to arrange a courtesy ride;
- parts suppliers, warranty administrators, insurers, or subcontractors when reasonably necessary to provide an authorized service, process a claim, or administer a warranty;
- professional advisers such as accountants, attorneys, and insurers;
- government authorities or other parties when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, property, customers, or the public; and
- a successor or transaction participant in connection with a proposed or completed merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate protections.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share mobile telephone information, text-message opt-in data, or text-message consent with unaffiliated third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may provide this information to vendors that help us deliver messages, but only as needed to provide that service and subject to appropriate restrictions.
Analytics and advertising technologies can be treated as a "sale," "sharing," or targeted advertising under some state privacy laws even when no money changes hands. If such a law applies to our activities, you may use any privacy-choice mechanism made available on the site or contact us using the information below.
5. Text Messages, Calls, and Email
If you ask or agree to receive text messages, we may send appointment reminders, digital inspection links, photographs or videos, estimates, authorization requests, repair-status updates, invoices, payment links, and other messages relating to your request or active service. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
You may opt out of automated text messages at any time by replying STOP or by telling us through another reasonable method that you no longer want texts. Reply HELP for help, or call us at (801) 843-6295. We may send one message confirming an opt-out. Opting out of text messages does not cancel an appointment, authorization, amount due, or other obligation, and we may contact you through a non-text method when reasonably necessary to complete a requested service or comply with law.
If you separately consent to promotional text messages, we may send offers, service reminders, seasonal promotions, and other marketing messages. Promotional messages may be sent using automated technology where permitted by law. Consent to promotional texts is not a condition of purchasing goods or services. You may withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP or by using another reasonable method.
You may unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in the message or by contacting us. Even after you opt out of promotional communications, we may still send non-promotional communications concerning an active appointment, authorized repair, payment, warranty matter, safety issue, or other existing customer relationship where permitted by law.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide services, maintain vehicle and warranty history, collect amounts due, meet legal and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect our business. Retention periods vary according to the type of information and applicable requirements. We may retain deidentified information where it cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Privacy Choices
You may ask to review, correct, or delete certain personal information, or to opt out of certain uses, by contacting us. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity. Some information may be retained where permitted or required by law, including service, warranty, transaction, safety, fraud-prevention, and legal records.
Depending on where you live and whether a particular privacy law applies to J-Mac, you may have additional rights, such as access, correction, deletion, data portability, or the right to opt out of the sale of personal data or targeted advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
